TRIBAL WAVE MOVIE NIGHTS & ROCK UP
TRIBAL WAVE MOVIE NIGHTS & ROCK UP
We host monthly movie nights “usually” the first Friday of every month to showcase the work of local cinematographers and artists who wish to capture and share their love of the big blue. Our venue is at the Crown & Anchor, 33 High Street, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 5DD. Fronting Shoreham’s High Street and backing on to the mouth of the River Adur, the Crown & Anchor's upstairs function room offers us the perfect venue in terms of size and comfort. www.crownandanchor-shoreham.co.uk Currently, we have some fantastic regular contributors and are excited to see more of what incredible talent is lurking at the bottom of our deep blue sea with a giant water housing and a big grin.
We do not charge on the door but do ask for donations on the night of which we split funds with local relevant charities to our passion. Surfers Against Sewage are our main chosen charity although with so many great ones we like to mix it up. We decided that with a growing following to the nights and a new permanent home in place we can better inform you through this website all of the movies which will be on and also a direct link for enthusiastic artists to submit their work. In 2012 we had a first of it’s kind, a cinematic projection movie night on the rock face at Saltdean’s Undercliff walk in support of Surfers Against Sewage and the RNLI. The response was overwhelming, so much so that we decided to run the event again the following year in 2013 which was also a great success. In 2014 the British weather proved to be difficult. Although we still went ahead with the event the weather took a turn for the worse but the support was awesome and we still raised a good amount of money for our chosen charities.
