Profile...

At present I work in Brighton for a company called LS Productions UK LTD.

Since joining nearly five years ago the business mainly evolved around graphic design presentation work with me as the main in-house designer. Unfortunately due to strong competition within the last year the business as a whole has changed direction. As well as graphic design work, I am now involved in corporate conference staging, filming, editing, website design and hosting.
The edit suite software we use is Pinnacle Liquid Pro. Samples of my video work can be viewed under the heading "Videos" and samples of my graphic design work can be viewed under the heading "Portfolio"

In January 2006 I made the decision to take time out of work to volunteer in Africa.

Kenya (January - March 2006)
I worked on a turtle conservation project in Kenya, researching and helping the survival of various endangered sea turtles that nest on Kenyan beaches.

Kenya (April - June 2006)
After my first three months in Kenya working on the conservation project I decided to try something completely different by volunteering myself at the Beehive Children's Aids Orphanage in Mombasa. My duties were cooking / cleaning / educating, entertaining and generally looking after the children.
One of the hardest things I had to do was say goodbye to them.

South Africa (July - August 2006)

South Africa seemed a million miles away from the rest of Africa but never the less I still wanted to explore the country.
I settled in a sleepy surf town called Muizenberg which is 15 miles south of Cape Town. Here I worked at Gary's Surf School which was right on the beach front. My duties included helping out in the day to day running of the shop and teaching/coaching surf lesions to the public and disadvantaged children. The aim from the owner Gary was to give the local South African children the chance to learn and hopefully become pro at a sport they might never have had the opportunity to do.

Uganda & Tanzania

In between projects I made the most of traveling around Africa, I managed to spend time in Uganda and Tanzania as well as my projects in Kenya and South Africa.

Now that I am back in the UK my attention must turn back to my work.
As I had spent 8 months out of the country I was a little rusty on the computer so I booked myself on three refresher computer programe courses to get back up to speed which were Dreamweaver, Flash and Quark.

My ultimate aim is to pay off what debt I have left and obtain a work visa for South Africa and find work within the Cape Town region.
